Judge i think your chronograph is busted!

Ok, seriously, i've heard people say that they calibrate their chronographs, but we all know that chronographs differ from each other.
What i want to know is how would one go about calibrating a chrono, both the big red ones, and the hand held chronos?

At least everyone gets stung with the same inaccuracies... the trick is to chrono with a small yellow hand-held on the range, and then be all setup when u get chrono'd again on the field with the hand-held... :D

As far as I'm aware - the only way to Calibrate a handheld is to:

1. Obtain a marker that is known to be extremely consistant

2. Fire a string a three shots over the Highest reading Red Chrono available.

3. Then fire a string of three shots over the handheld.

4. Compare the difference, then mark the handheld with a +/- fps reading (usually with a piece a masking tape and a felt-tip pen) to bring it in line with the 'Test' Chrono.

Not scientific, but it works.
