Here's an idea. We all know you can pay £2 to sticky threads. But what if you could pay to have admin "@Registered" on your thread so EVERYONE sees it?

What does everyone think?

Users found to be consistantly breaking classifieds rules or otherwise partaking in activities deemed to be a risk to other members of the site will have their classifieds access removed.

How long would this be for ??

Hi Gary,

It'll be at our discretion to be honest. Someone who's clearly not bothered to read the rules will maybe get a fortnight, someone who has clearly forgotten something as a genuine error will most likely get a friendly reminder, someone who can't be arsed, has been warned and still can't be arsed will be permanently banned from the classifieds yet still free to use the rest of the forum for the great resource it is.

We are also considering introducing a 50 post rule before ANYONE has access to classifieds, unless they've paid for platinum membership. This is to encourage meaningful contribution to the rest of the forum and to discourage backroom traders who are making a living selling sponsored kit behind the scenes and by PM.

All sounds good to me on this rule, weed out the bad traders.
And something limiting access to new users may be handy. Too excessive limits would possibly limit a new player from buying, but also a very good idea for dealing with bad or banned sellers making new accounts and bypassing blocked ips etc

On the 'registered' tag it's still a little worrying when you get a notification from admin that you are tagged in a rules thread, but it would be very annoying to get unwanted tags to sales threads from sellers

What I do sometimes on forums when I'm on the lookout for something is to subscribe to the classifieds area, can't remember if its available on here, but its handy as you then get an email when a sales thread is created and can check it out.
With that method it's the buyers choice to get notified
