Name the single UK player playing pro NXL in the US.
Easy. Jamie.

I like Jamie. He's been in the game for some time and paid his dues. He's humble, takes time to speak to people and has turned his image around.

Yep super good dude. It just amazes me with all the talent in the U.K. that only 1 player is making the trek. I understand it’s hard as hell but still surprised.

Real life is expensive, Jamie is a a cracking bloke, has time for everyone and is humble....but the dude has no kids, owns a business, has no ties, can travel where he wants, when he wants with no worries.
He is very much the exception to the rule. :)

Life isn't all roses for Jamie, trust me. I don't think he flies First Class on what he may be earning from 141, plus there is something else that is quite worrying. Besides that, Jamie hasn't let success go to his head, unlike some players I know who don't know the meaning of humility.

But that underlines the fact that "Pro" paintball is a young man's game, and young men have no ties and are free to do what they like. Once you have a wife, family, house payments etc........ unless you have a good job in the paintball industry, a paid spot on a team or a job outside paintball that pays very well and allows you lots of time off whenever you want it, you have to start prioritising. And that's when paintball usually goes out the window.

Let me get this straight...
So you get a good job in the Paintball industry, you get to work from home and do what you love. You get to attend all the events and play paintball for free as a fully sponsored factory player, you made it into your chosen profession and now get to combine your work with your passion - something most people only dream of...

..and then you go online during work-hours, while you're being paid to represent your employer to the best of your ability, and question the integrity of one of your employers partners, while rallying the people you are paid to sell to against 'the system'.
This gets you fired (in an unprofessional manner) by your boss (who has a well-known reputation for not being the most professional guy in the game)
And this makes you a brave and courageous hero?
Why?

This is Kaitlin Jenner all over again...

The people online doing their back-of-the-napkin event-math are deluded and have no idea what they are talking about. Anyone who compares prize-money to entry fee's and thinks that this math offers 'proof that the league makes bank' is so uneducated they may even present a danger to those around them.

before you guys jump on a bandwagon you should ask yourselves what would happen in your own job if you ****ed the dog like that.

If I was in the porn industry and f**ked the dog, I would probably get an award. Or at least a dog biscuit.

But seriously, I was hoping you'd comment, @Missy-Q
