i think you need to look up what dry firing is

but when you air up your gat and then turn the eyes of everytime you pull the trigger it will cycle (bolt move backwards and forwards)

and too much lube is as bad as too little!!

just a quick question as not something i would do.

wouldn't bolt damage your finger if you stuck it down feed neck and fired your marker? as pressure controling the bolt is about 70 psi.

no i dont think so as the bolt wont complete the cycle and just go back to starting position ie if you put a flufft in the breach turn eyes off it will do the same i have never put my finger in a breach on any marker and i dont think i would ever

thanks tomo. never thought it was a good idea.

    fhe

bolt does cycle rapidly and does look like it would take your finger end off.

as already said check lpr set right on page 23 of manual. if you have moved it.

but i don't think there is a problem with you dm. from what you have described.

Unless the LPR is set way high then a finger in the breach will just stop the bolt from fully cycling and won't chop your finger off!

The OP might find this useful http://forums.matrixowner.com/showthread.php?t=12047

Remember, when lubing a Matrix bolt less is more.

70PSI would probably give you a nice bruise though.. just think that a car tyre at race pressure is 35PSI.... so twice that...

You can stick your finger in a Level 10 automag... infact the designer Tome Kaye, has a video where he puts his tongue in the breech ;)

If i was to put something in the breech would your regular marker reset? as in does anything electronic tell the gun if it has cycled properly? is it all just times, or does it say 'ram foward, valve opened , ram back'

Ive put my finger in the breach of just about every marker ever made and dry fired.

Most of them you can barely feel it. Some like the old automag are quite strong though.
