Sooo cut a long story short, popped down to my local field today to give my new marker and air bottle a test and lucky I did.
When filling the bottle all the air escaped out the fill nipple. Did a bit of research and this seems to be a common problem with these Dye systems. So I have decided to replace the whole nipple rather than muck around with o rings.
Now just paintball have both a dye and an empire replacment nipple so my question is.... Should I just swap out like for like or can I put the empire nipple in?
And just so I'm clear can I just clarify the replacement steps.
Old nipple out.
Teflon (plumbers) tape on but not over the end of the thread on the new nipple and screw in.
Don't use oil.
