diff board i think eggy2 has a y board and a eggy3 has a z board shells are a bit diff as well as eggy3 shell dont have problem with batts falling out as the door has a chatch on it hope this helps

Tomo is correct, the Egg 2 comes with the Y board while the Egg 3 runs the Z board as standard.
The 3 also has a much needed redesigned batt compartment that doesnt need taping up to stop you losing your batterys every 2 minutes while playing.

Thanks guys. So it's basically a Z-boarded 'II' with a new battery compartment. Anyone know if the 3's shells can be used with II's internals (with a II's Z-board)?
That leaves the lid,battery door(which is different) and feedneck and tray...i think they can as everything is the same except the shells and board asin motor and stuff

yes but you'd have to use the correct battery door I believe.
