Is the paint breaking in the breach, barrel or even in the loader?

Try with a different loader, depending on how the clutch is setup on the magna might be putting too much pressure on the ball stack. This is the time of the year when paint can be very fragile so any problems can be exacerbated.

How are are the ego's detents? If they are worn/missing then this can mean that the ball stack might be misaligned which can cause the bolt to clip other balls in the stack.

Yea eyes all working fine; might try swapping out detents for new ones and will try taking out sone magnets in the Magna to allow more slip hopefully that will help

Also might be worth checking the solenoid flow restrictiors, maybe setting them to factory 5 & 7
Tried that still chopped, think it might be the detents as when shooting single balls its just fine but when I fire a quick string it chops

More likely than not it's the loader putting too much pressure when it's spinning at speed, which in turn could be wearing the detents too much. Because the Halo based loaders don't have any active monitoring of the ball stack they can be prone to being a bit forceful, particularly at the end of a string of shots which is why they did the Magna to introduce a bit of slip. I'd try another borrowed loader, if that's fine when shooting strings then you've got the prob and can cock about with dem magnets.
