Oh yeah, what I meant to add was IMHO a Smartparts Ion would be a good way to go. Like has been said they would be great for rec-ball and with a few ups can carry you through your first tourneys. They are reasonably new or second hand and again like has been said, there is a good second hand market at the moment so you can always shift it eventually to pay for your next step up!
