Needless to say the bottle is 100% totally drained
My old gauge had a leak so it's off now.
Will about 10 rotations of pfte tape do the trick with fitting the new one??
And should it be screwed in to the full ability of my strength??

Thanks in advance

Replaced 2 leaky gauges by wrapping PTFE tape on the threads and screwed in so there was a slight gap between the gauge and bottle neck.

With PTFE tape its fairly wide compared to the length of thread, so you can actually tear it very neatly down the length into strips before wrapping.

Ideally Loctite Threadlok is what you need

Cheers guys
I'm very cautious when it comes to compressed air
Dont want the gauge to fire off if i don't do it right

I already fitted it with pfte tape but haven't filled it yet
Wanted to check it wouldnt pop first
Never fitted a pressure gauge before so wanted to know if i was doing it right
