Hi all,

I have a 1.1l carbon GA tank with a myth2 reg which has a very slow leak that cannot be heard.

Any advice? (Apart from buying a ninja reg as I know that one ;P)
I have no previous skill/knowledge of stripping/maintaing tanks or regs.

Thanks for any/all help,

Pingu

Stick the reg in a glass of water to pin point the leak via the bubbles

You can get rebuild kits and proper reg grease if you know what you're doing, if not don't touch ever

I had the same problem with my G2, and after the dip test it I found it was coming from the gauge thread, even a bit of PTFE tape wouldn't solve it...

I decided on the ninja option in the end :)

with the Myth reg , did you get the hollow allen key that normally comes with it, it goes over the pin to do up or undo , maybe that`s all it needs mate ??

Ooh. I purchased it second hand and came with no Allen keys. Will look into that too. Thanks mate

I`ve found that some people got one and some people didn`t, because I was lucky to have received one i found if there was ever a leak it was to be tightened at the pin,
or to unscrew with that allen key to replace an "O" ring at the bottom of pin,
I`ve had dozens of these regs and they`ve all been great, very easy to work with.
as long as you`ve got the Hollow Allen Key.
Try Lips above Mate.

Another good way to find a leak coat it in soapy water little bubbles will appear. This is what I use at work for hunting gas leaks but we use fancy soapy water.
