I've now been doing this for a little while and slowly getting my kit altogether. And I'm just wondering what size pots do most people use and why. I was sold on 140 shot pots but now I'm doubting my self. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

140ish. Nearly all hopper are 200+, so this is a convenient size to refill when there are 20-30 shots left in the hopper, plus most packs are designed to take this size pot.

I never thought about that. I'm used to useing 100 shot pots from my local field. But as i say I'm getting my own stuff now so i can go further afield and not have to borrow bits and pieces

Always used 140 pots.
Did use the Dye lock lids, i think there 160 shot pots i believe, used them when i was running the larger top on my rotor, they worked quite well, lids don't let go at the hinge neither which is a plus.

Sites use 100 shot pots for the simple reason that 100 divides into 2000 nice and even so is easy to dish out to punters.

140 quick release pots are the way. asuming you are not magfed
