Halo battery issue

Using a halo i got second hand but it's developed an issue where i will run fine off a 9V but when using the harness with new batteries it won't even power up
anyone know anything to check for to get it working again?

what harness are you using ?

2 x 9v harness ? these were home made by many players, easy and cheap to pickup the parts from Maplins, and a little soldering.

I bought a halo and it didnt work, only until i changed the AA battery harness itself with a friends one did it decided to work lol ?

i got a new one from maplins. cheap and chips see if that works and dont break the bank or try a mates one 1st

Just to add :

there really is no advantage using 2 x 9v over 6 x AA's ( 2 x 9v only being 2oz lighter in weight )
2 x 9v = approx 3 cases (will probably give you + 2bps faster due to voltage and current being slightly higher)
6 x AA = approx 6 cases
you can work out the costs of buying batteries.

have you got the 6 x AA battery pack ?

I'm using a 6AA harness atm
thanks for the link to the maplin stuff, there's one not too far from here so i should be able to get a replacement easily.
does the harness for 2 9V rattle at all? 'cause the single 9v does and it's off putting XD

put some foam in there , that`s what most do

Just check the AA battery carrier isn't broke. Mine did.
Now keep a spare from maplins.
