For a front player you may want a low/no-rise feed tube as this reduces the hight of your profile, however unless you have a Halo or another force fed loader you may not feed balls as fast, and if you dont have an anti-chop device you may chop balls.

This is the main reason why back players opt for a High rise, simpley because it allows more balls in the stack which reduces the amount of chops, and enables you to shoot that little faster.

Again only relevant if you dont own a halo.

Hope that makes sense........

The point of a stack of balls is to act as a buffer of sorted balls which are ready to fall into the gun.
It increases the initial feed rate of a gravity feed hopper by providing a stack of balls which are ready to drop into the gun as fast as gravity will allow.

A gated feed stops the stack of balls travelling upwards into the hopper due to movement of the gun (ie running and shooting).
In a properly set up marker there should be no air going up the feed neck.

With todays force feed hoppers (Intelifeed egg, Z-Board egg or Halo) the balls have no way of going back up into the hopper as the feed mechanism pushes the balls into the gun.
Having a large stack will not help if you have a force feed hopper as you are not relying on gravity to feed your gun
