Currently setting up a site and the plan was to go with paintball but upon speaking to other site owners and seeing that independent sites have sold up or scrapped paintball on their sites completely i have decided on a business front to bin that idea and go in a different direction, is grass roots paintball dead, what can be done to get it to flourish like it used to be or is the whole concept just not appealing to todays society.

Sites need to be diverse in what they offer, to have a successful paintball site, you need to offer airsoft and maybe even laser tag as well.

Outdoor activities likes archery could also provide income.

Out of interest where were you going to set a site up?

I agree that you need varied activities to support the paintball side but what changed over the years that stopped paintball from being an appealing past time, the knock on effect of ‘punter ball’ drying up is going to impact the tournament in the long run, and that’s quite thought provoking!
Our site will predominantly be laser tag but once we have all the fields built we will cater for airsoft amongst other activities, we are based near Milton Keynes.
