A message from Jay's Mum, Dad, Sam & Lynsey....Jay sadly passed away at 1.15am this morning 30th July, peacefully in his sleep. He will be greatly missed. Love you Jay xx

Jay has been fighting cancer for a while and lost that fight last night, he played for many teams during his career including Cynergy, Tigers, Nexus and Team GB at the London Masters just a few weeks ago.

RIP buddy, you will be missed by us all.

To say he was suffering from Cancer and still managed to play at the highest level in the UK says a lot about him and his commitment to the sport.

I thought this was some kind of sick joke when it stared appearing on Facebook, just too horrible to be true. A great guy who played better pissed than most do sober. Thoughts go to his family, close friends and team mates. Rest in Peace doesn't quite suit Jay, enjoy the party mate!
