I have been doing my research and see that there are two different style lids for hoppers.

Original lids seem to click into place, and then fast speed lids are open with rubber 'spikes'.

Fast speed lids seem to only really save maybe 2 seconds? Are they really that worth it considering that a lot of dirt, sticks and other crap could get inside your hopper?

In tournaments absolutely yes, You don't want to give any opposition and inch or any time to get dominance on you

Yes there is a risk that you might get shot inside your loader but its a very rare occurrence

I use my speed feed in the woods as well and don't really get any mud or dirt inside it, Saying that though I do play Tournament wood ball not big skirmish games
