Hi guys,

I'm a student at a UK university and the paintball society is trying to start a tournament team to play tournies and also other university teams. We have about £1k in club funds, but we are trying to get sponsorship. What are peoples views on starting equipment? The options are to spend club funds on a batch of Shutters or other decent semi auto, or wait to see if we can get sponsorship and use the sponsor money to get top end tournie guns like shockers or BM2Ks.

What are peoples experiences of sponsorship / starting teams?

All comments are welcome,

Tom

Tom,

Only the really top teams get sponsorship worth anything good. The best you could hope for is some sort of discount of your paint and maybe some kit to start of with. At the begining anyway.Sponsorship is something everyone wants, and I guess if you work hard enough and are good enough it will come.

The most important thing for a new team (I think) is to keep it together, and don't stop playing. If things start to look bad cos your not winning, don't quit. Try and learn from your mistakes, then build on them.

Now go buy yourself a gun and I'll see you in the middle, good luck.

:)
