One thing's for sure - if the quality of judging is as good as I've heard, some teams are going to be in for a BIG surprise :p :D :D

Hey, if you go to "http://www.nppl.tv/2/nppl_faq.htm", the FAQ page, ALL your questions in life will be answered..."Will this jersey make me look fat?"..."I'm 6'4" and weigh 100 stone, can I make that 50 laydown bunker off the bat?"..."Will Robbo's wife's sister fancy me in this thong?"...

They say they're limiting registration to 100 teams for HB.
They also say that there will be a new set of rules for the tourney...hopefully ready by the start of the tourney (standard 100 point total, 3 points for eliminated opponents, 22 point pull).

I guess I shouldn't tell those darn Swedes that Hurricanes, within walking distance of the pier on the second level balcony, tends to have all the hot women or they'll try to hog them all...or that Jamie Pressley (head cheerleader in "Not Another Teen Movie"...hey, I had to watch it, one of my friends was one of the cheerleaders...the one always on the left) likes to hang out at that place off of Beach Blvd...heh, heh, maybe I should tell them that there's a group of blond surfers that like to surf topless...heh, heh and let them find out that blond + long hair doesn't always = female...or that it's really fun if you spread alot of bread around your gear and it'll keep the seagulls away...boy, that seagull poop really stinks...hey! was I talking out loud? What the...

Ray
PS you probably won't need suntan lotion if the Santa Ana's stop blowing and the temp drops below 70 degrees...I hate sweating when you're taking down your Christmas lights.

Waddiz: Well, I guess I know that I'm getting too old when paintball.com does an article on the Pan Am team I played for last year where the thrust basically is that we're OLD! (Oct: "http://paintball.com/features/article.cfm?aid=1149") And the team changes it's name "Relic" 'cause of the average age (well, maybe partly to tie into the paint they'll be shooting, Evil so they become Evil Relics when they're on the field). And you kinda know you're old when your 10-man team has three "Ray"s and each one is identified by "Ray, Ray Ray, and Grandpa" and when you hear "lets have some fun and send Grandpa to the 50 for the 6th time in 6 back-to-back games...I betcha he'll puke after he bunkers his mirror". You also know that you're getting old when that 18 yr old that just laughed at you when you asked for her number is actually 24 and the combined age of her and her friend still isn't greater than than yours

oh, in order to stay on topic: I hope the reffing staff doesn't get too tired running in the sand all day long...I want them to be able to "Check That Guy"...at least at the Great Western tourney in Hawaii, the water was warm enough for Iron Kids to hop into inbetween games.

(You can call me Ray...)

Ray,

My best pick-up line is "I'm old enough to be your father." But I may have to change it to "...old enough to be a signer of the Declaration of Independence." It doesn't matter, it just gets easier for every year that I celebrate my 29th birthday. My friends hate it.:p If you're there, you'll see. I don't know if it's the salt 'n pepper beard or the increased confidence Viagra gives me.

I welcome the sand. It's the best fitness program one can have since those wonderful, large woods fields are history. I might even get to see some flag-carriers flash pizzas again like in the last century.

Steve

PS. Good article, Ray. If I was the youngest on a team we would have to call ourselves "Fossil Fuel" or "Grey Panthers" or something like that. (They should give "senior" discounts on entries, equipment and PBs.)
