Some fun stuff there, including the legendary Speedball field at SAS Maidenhead that was an example of the 80's/90's precursor to Hyperball and then Supair. The 'mugging' pic over the straw bales (ah, bale fields:rolleyes) created a lot of controversy at the time with a lot of people saying how dangerous such behaviour was, seems kind of funny now.

Just a couple more from the same late 80's/early 90's period, then it's time for a move into the mid 90's and yes, might just see a few of our heroes looking all fresh faced and innocent before paintball took it's toll;)

Some of the golden days of UK paintball, the gun choice was basically Mag or Cocker with a few Golden Eagles thrown in. Teams like the Predators, Nam and Shockwave were killing everybody, semis were now the norm and the Banzais all looked young and clean-cut.

The plywood triangles were Arenaball, the Skirmish franchise's attempt at a concept field that could be set up anywhere years before Supair. The lack of variety and being a bit before it's time killed it but the first Arenaball event looked very like a modern tourney with netted fields allowing spectators and an emphasis on attracting lots of outside interest which never really materialised:(
