    Overbore = good consistency/poor efficiency
    Underbore = good consistency/good efficiency
    Paint to Barrel Match = poor consistency/moderate efficiency
    (http://www.a5og.net/other-barrel-systems/39358-paint-barrel-match-overrated.html)

    unless the paint is 100% round then bore match is fine. - i suppose i cant really talk as i havent played with proper tourney paint :/

    I use a .693, because it's purple. Over/underbore-ing is a myth. FACT. I read it, not online, in a book. But the book was destroyed in a fire. Don't question it.

    I still cant quite get my head around how pushing a larger paintball through a smaller hole will give you more shots per tank, the paintball would just be slowed down the further it does through hence needing more air to get it out the other end. So if you overbore the bolt gives the same air each time and the balls having the time of its life not getting all squashed and unhappy. I used to care about the boreing mallarky, untill i didnt want to scratch a decent barrel up on a mucky and wet day, so i used a nakerd old scratched up carbon nighstik that turned out to shoot no different to any others so i carry on using it... I also read in the same book; once again, destroyed in a fire, tragic, that the longer the barrel, the better the efficiency. That's why I've got a 22inch barrel.

    Does underboring cause ball breaking?

    Unless it's brittle paint, no it doesn't. Paintballs are flexible and in compression tests many of the balls could be compressed by nearly 1/8" before they broke. A .679 bore size does not break anymore paint than other bore sizes but is preferable to larger bores for consistency and efficiency.

    its tighter so no air is wasted round the edges, the paintballs can get squished! - not the fragile as said above.

    Yeh i didnt say theyd break, i said as theyre travelling through the barrel squished they must be slowing down. X

    i know, but thats the evidence behind it, and as i put at the end: its tighter so no air is wasted round the edges
