I've quit drinking for a month, and I'm putting this up in all my usual haunts hoping (perhaps in vain) for altruistic individuals willing to give up a few squid to a worthy cause.

I thought this was the best thread section!

If you want donations I would strongly suggest 2 things:

1. You're raising money 'for' cancer? perhaps you meant Cancer Research, or to find a cure for Cancer, rather than raising money for cancer itself, like to support it etc.

2. Quitting booze for a month? really? You honestly feel deserving of donations for doing that? How about this. I'll make myself a cup of tea every morning. Please donate to my cause....

Oh, and list your charity, so we might think/be fooled that you're actually going to follow through and donate to someone. There is no charity called 'cancer'.
Honestly, I'm having a hard time believing that you're not a scumbag at this stage.
