Per Ainsley's facebook post the site is too waterlogged to play and make it safe for all.

I am bummed, but also thankful that they're taking the time to make sure the experience is top notch and not destroy the site for the whole year by causing it to be a quagmire.

No one is as gutted as we are. Devastated would be more suitable. As an insight, as I know he won’t mind me saying this, I know Ains and Dyl haven’t slept for days.

If we had held R1 2018 as the same date as 2017 the site would actually have been under 2ft of snow. In 5 years I’ve never seen so much relentless rain/snow without a break. Even a week of dry weather would have allowed the site to dry. We haven’t had more than 2 days without rain.

..... However, the show must go on. R1 is now only 36 days and 21 hours to go and it will be bigger and better than ever!!
