With CPPS round 4 almost upon us, the season end not to far behind followed by the grind of the off season.
This year we have started the process of building our new academy team early, the benefit here is the players get to train more , so far we have three new under 18s training with the club in readiness for the 2017 season.
For 2017 we will be looking for 10 youngsters to join the Academy in late September, and train every three to four weeks over the Autumn and Winter months.
The Academy benefits from the collective support package the parent club has negotiated, which is set to improve for 2017.
Recent academy players have gone on to play for established teams within SaD, others have joined Div1 and Elite UK teams.
Over the two years we have run the academy team, the youngsters in 2015 placed 1st in Breakin at the end of the season, picking up two podiums along the way.
This years group have placed 2nd so far this season they still have two rounds to play.
So if you are aged 12 to 17 and are looking for a way into competitive paintball, drop me a line, who knows where it will take you.
