Shooting fragile paint with an Ego 07

As the title says - I have a couple of Ego 7s, which I love to bits - enough to have two of them. Only problem I've had is that they occasionally smash paint. Any suggestions for softening the shot on them - settings or upgrades?

Planet Eclipse Cure 4 or TechT Kush bolts are the only upgrades I can think of that would help.

That's what I was thinking TBH - anyone got practical experience of either bolt?

Well the Cure 4 is what comes standard in the Ego11 so that should give you a good idea how that performs. Never used a TechT bolt, heard mixed things. People either love them or hate them it seems to me.

Do the detents need replacing ?

Paint to barrel match ?

Lpr set too high ?

Too much pressure on the ball stack from your loader?

poor paint ?

ego 7 shouldn't really have problems with brittle paint.!

Guy on my team still shoots one and has no issues with brittle paint. I would say there's something else at play.

agree with eelz
had quite a few 07s over the years, including a Disruption one like yours, and never had an issue with brittle paint

Try setting the dwell to 17/18ms and make sure the lpr screw is flush,then turn the lpr screw 1 full turn in (clockwise) and see if it helps.

Only do this providing you've already checked all the other factors I suggested up above mate

Cheers gents - not a massive issue; just had the odd one break - more with some brands than others. Will have a little play with the factors mentioned.
