I've done these slides before. But not meaning to do them lol!

I had a recent experience (in woodlands) where I was running along and the alastic string at the bottom of my playing pants got caught on some stick or log.. or whatever it was.

I went flying!

Made myself look a right idiot

First time I ever tried doing a "superman" dive was at the local rec site bout 18 months ago.

Ran up to the bunker, got down low, arms out ready (Had studied the vids), pushed off into the air, kept my gun up away from the ground, and then proceeded to dig some part of me (Still can't work out which part) into the ground. Sent me flying ar$e over t1t into the side of the bunker, landed on my head and got 3 rounds from a rental player right up my ring piece. What a way to start the day. That was the first and last time I ever did a "superman". Now I stick to the baseball/football tackle slides, they work better in the woods anyway I find.

Seriously you lot must be having a laugh your thinking to much.... Every amateur will always dive when it isn’t necessary, which always means the best place to shoot is low and into the entrance to the barricade. The first thing you have to able to gauge is the line of paint is, remember it can be worse to dive into a position if the line of paint is low. You will only learn this through experience.

This is one only thing i tell anyone who is struggling to dive. After gauging the line and making a decision on the run weather to dive or not:

"Keep your legs straight"

If your legs are straight the rest of your body will automatically position its self into the correct position. If your legs are bent your core will not be in a strong position, and your centre of gravity will be to low causing you to hit hard into the floor and hurting yourself by landing in an uncomfortable lump.

So don’t think!! Point your hands at where you wanna go and keep your legs straight. Thinking too much will slow you down or get you hurt...

i was playing a couple of months ago on a rec day using site equipment (mine had sprung several leaks) and ended up doing a superman without thinking about it and had my marker upside down. Not only did i rip the hopper off but the feedneck too! glad it was only rental!

the best and easiest way to superman is to sprint leaning forward too much until gravity pulls you down, you have less far to fall and can control yourself more.

also sliding on your knees is never good, pressure should be mainly on the outside of your front leg, which is softer and that way you can get straight back up.
