What is going on? We are hearing sp can't ship... if this is true, what stops that from happening to ALL current electros? Talk about a change in tournement play. I can't believe no one is talking about this. Someone have more info?

lots of people are saying lots of things, but neither WDP or SP have gone on record with the outcome of the latest round - yet.
Until then you can pick you favourite theory, make it twice as worse and double the damages you think of and you'd be no further from the mark than anyone else.
Plus it will be interesting to see how the boys that folded to SP are treated too, as I suppose they didn't help WDP in their fight when push came to shove - will loyalty be rewarded or punished? thoughts on that?

Will companies that paid sp for licences get any money back?
Do ICD have grounds to sue SP for the loss of business, court costs, etc from previous legal fights?
Does WDP now own the patent on electro markers? Meaning they can charge the earth from everyone, or was it just sp's electro patent revoked. Didn't wdp have a patent for lcd screens and a few other specific things that seemed to clash with sp's blanket electro B.S. until it was over turned, perhaps that is what the injunction is based on and what could cost SP big.

well, the biggest question is did one dictator? for lack of a better word, get replaced by another. Now WDP saw the nazi avatars and hate heaped on SP...but, that would NOT change my mind in their shoes, business is business and WDP at least knows what the definition of marketing is.
My problem is this, I have pretty different views on what an invention is and what half of the patents issued are... meaning there is a lot of BS out there, but by allowing BS patents, that fuels the lawyer economy. Fact. So, had WDP fought to disprove the validity of the patents rather than just snake ownership we would be in a lot different place.

Steve, no. Contracts would obviously be written to avoid any payback. Well, even a actor who plays a lawyer on TV would write that into a contract.
