Spire ir feed issues

Hi all

I’m new to the forum and the new age of paintball haven’t played for around 10yr so pretty new to the electronic age.
I have brought myself an etha 2 and spire ir hopper.
I went to a walk on yesterday and the hopper wouldn’t feed properly would give me 4-5 balls and then would stop feeding, turn it off then on again and another 4-5 balls.
I would play up when not on the market to, but when I got home I ran a good 1000 balls through it flawlessly. Does anyone know what this could be and do these just need breaking in.
oh it’s the version with the eyes not the mic sensor.

First two likely culprits are batteries and awkward paint.

It's cold out at the moment, so if it has been left in a garage with the batteries in, they would struggle.

otherwise... was it the same paint you ran through it during the day as when you got home?

Hi mate

it has been in the house but it was cold on the day, brand new batteries.
To be fair the paint I ran through the day was different to at home there was some of the same paint in the mix of different paint I ran through it.
