it used to be upgrade to get 10, 12, 15 or 18 bps full auto death cannon. Hasn't it all gone backwards with girly bps caps? Shooting fools into the ground and leaving presents were all part of the game. Soft on paint, low psi seems to be about eliminate players in the most efficient not most spectacular fashion. Hmmmmm.

ahaha, those were the days, eh? good old grudge matches and stomping opposition into the ground?

Thing is martials are a lot hotter on over shooting, and the idea is less about causing hurt to your opposition and more on getting the guys out as quickly and as easily as possible. More fragile paint to break possibly without being noticed, could result in a penalty on the opposing team, as well as guaranteeing an easy G.

BPS has been lowered to make it easier on budgets and the amount of paint shot, as well as breaking up the lanes a bit to encourage more moves through the game. (Basically prevents it being just a lane-fest)
