Haven't had an issue with a borrowed R2 during last weekend. All I can say is that I've simply forgotten about jams with the R2, but so I usually do with my cheaper Virtue Spire...

R2's can be had quite cheap if you look in the right places/stores

I've just paid £121 for a brand new one from Germany.
