The new standard has been around for 6-7 years and i think there's quite a few makes/brands that are produced to it , though as far as i know there's only 1 manufacturer (first strike) who seems to be advertising that their bottles can last a life time. I've seen bottle lables with the new standard on them but they're still giving a death date, likewise i've also seen bottles with the new standard where no death date is given but they're not advertising the fact that it can last a life time.
Basically they've been around since 2012 and i think there's more of them out there than we think.
