tippmann painting

Iv got my self a model 98 as abit of a project to wast some time on.

basicly, i want to give it a makeover from black (stock) to metalic/gloss red, black and white.

what is the best way to go about thing with regards to sanding down the current paintjob, amounts and type of primer, lacker? any special type of paint to use? anything to be carefull of while painting?

any advice would be much appriciated

you could spray it with with car paint if you have got $$, but yeah sand blast it then prime it first.

just dont breathe the fumes in from the paint. it attacks the nervous system

I did one ages ago and used nitromores paint stripper to remove the black paint from the 98, then washed it with water and sprayed hammerite smooth to finish it off, gave a good strong finish and is still being used at my local site now and still looks good.

Pete, doesn't work sell the little sand blasters for like £15

Ya could keep it for later projects aswell.
