hey everyone, so i've just finished buying my setup and i wanted to find a cheap way to just mess about at home with my marker. I've got the following set-up for my marker;

  • 0.8L 3k HPA Tank
  • Etek 4 LT
  • Dye Rotor
  • 4 Dive Bottles (12L and 15L) & Fill Rig
Before completing my set up i had to go and fill my HPA up at a shop so i always tried to not mess about much but as i have so many dive bottles, air is no longer an issue. Before i used Celtic Rec Balls at £30 a box but i can use an entire box in seconds with my Etek. So i need to find a more cost effective way, so re-usable balls were the obvious option but i've found a lot of comments on the internet saying that the re-usable balls actually can have an effect on the marker performance and can cause damage to the barrel and bolt. But as i don't know anyone that uses them i thought its best to ask here. I have found 3 sets of products that i could use but i was wondering if anyone has used them before or knows anyone that has which can say if they have had any effects on the markers shooting them

Set 1; (both items are required)

Set 2;

Set 3;

Any help would be great, and if anyone has used any that they could recommend that would be great.
Regards,
Jamie

p.s. i would really like to not have to chrono my marker, it shot at stock 280fps, which is smack on for my paintball field, i dont want to have to chrono the marker before i come home just to mess about with it

Personaly I would avoid the target balls, they will be the fluffy side of velcro.
Your marker may not like them, and they will pick up dirt.

The others will bounce absolutely everywhere.
You will need to reduce velocity when using them and there is the potential of bolt damage etc
They will get dirty but are cleanable

Idealy I would say to use paint for practice, for the price you are going to get 500 rubber balls you could get about 2 cases, and usualy after a game there will be left over paint.

That is true, i havent yet used my etek in a proper game so i think im going to have to take 2 boxes with me just in case, maybe use a couple hundred to test. I will see how quickly i use paint, this thread will hrlp still if i find i use too much

As Tom said. It just isn't worth the hassle getting reballs. Every walk on I go to I always tend to have paint left over...and I use a lot.. :)
