I play speedball with Apocalyse uprising at cpps, but we dont have a field local to us that means its not a hassle to get to. We do practice the layout once for a day prior to each round but inbetween then what kind of things should we be doing to be more competitive. We have out local Apocalypse field but no speedball there.

    Any tips/ideas are appriciated!

noticed your in norfolk has combat paintball in thetford not got a tourny field anymore, you dont need sup air bunkers to run drills work with what your local site has

If you don't have sup air bunkers on a site you will most likely have a form of speedball field - hyperball, wooden bunkers etc
Take cover and snapshoot around whatever the obstacles are

If you need to then get some pallets and prop them up

Practice the core skills around hard cover, this will be more difficult and slower, particularly when it's dodgy or not possible to run, dive and slide on uneven ground and hard objects
Then when you are around inflatables you can get straight in
If you need more practice leaning into inflatables then get a laybag, stand it up on its end against a bunker and practice your position

Do dives and slides on good ground which could be at your local park etc
People may look at you, but at least you won't look as stupid as a Lycra jogger

Used to play with some dudes who had a deamon gym routine for getting better, cant remember all of it, but a lot relied on core work and burpees etc. if you can get good at getting off the floor / away from your spot.. and also at leaning round your bunkers (high or low) then you should see some considerable improvements.

the other thing to work on is arm and shoulders,,, so many times you will see people whose guns drop throughout points. (mine included!)
