They could have had the name Manchester regardless of Shockwave having it. As far as I know there’s no rule about having the same Location as we (Kellys) are 'Manchester' Kellys in Mills like Shockwave are. Plus there were playing a different div to them.

They must love Birmingham that much they’d rather be associated with them then Manchester
