Not sure if anyone has had this idea before but just been thinking it would be a great cheap addition in scenario game play, ill set the scene

You started as an 6 man cell but was ambushed not long after your drop.
Steve and Jim got sniped before they even turned there gun's on
Joe Parachuted too far west and landed right next to an Enemy patrol, theres only 3 of you left and its getting dark you need somewhere to lay low until the morning.

You come across a house in the dusk and think its safest to lay low for a few hours and rethink your stratagey.

half hour before you just whiped out 2 guards but not before the second one radio'd in his position. the enemy will be close tonight.
You decide the best place to be is upstairs as it'll give you an elivated advantage and more time if a team was to rush you, All 3 of you realise that the early losses wont sit well if a full unit stumbles upon you.

Then Dan has a great idea. In his kit bag he remembers he bought an:
Attack/ Rape Alarm

Duct Tape

and a couple foot of string

He has the idea to tie the string to the Attack Alarms ring pull and duct tape each side to the door frame.

He explains that if its tripped it will give them a fighting chance of nuteralizing the flank and take out a few members of the unit evening the odds up.

now.......
my question is this.....would that be allowed in a game, to make a make shift alarm system to cover a door frame ?

Anyone got any input on the matter ?
has it been done before ?
would it be allowed ?
Good idea/ bad idea ?

lemme know

Seriously upstairs, in a (wooden) house and expecting a night time attack / ambush by a larger enemy force? You're going to die. Difficult to E&E from a seconf floor window.

Stringing up the doors isn't exactly an early warning is it, so the alarm advantage is pretty non-existant. Plus they are in the house so calling in airstrike isn't going to end well, for anyone.

Rape alarm in the tree line then let em have the heavy weapons, then out the back door quicksmart, hopefully calling in a Spectre / Reaper to cover your escape. Simples.

On the other side, if you can sneak filling a speedball pitch with those badboys you'd never get mugged again ;-)
Another idea to pitch to PSP? :D

We considered this a long time ago with, would suggest fishing wire as opposed to string as it's less obvious and still strong an aslo tie a simple knot to the tree as tape won't stick for long, especially if it rains.
The biggest problem u will face is once it's triggered, u will have to put the pin back in, not easy if there is alot of guys and a firefight starts. And let's face it, you will be rather unhappy if the Marshall either can't hear you call a paint check, or misses the action because he is replacing the pin.
We resort to using a similar design but with a mk 5 thunderflash or paint grenade, therefore alerting the defense team, and gettin a kill or 2 at the same time.
