Ok a light hearted tittle to a serious issue.
Last year we did see an increasing amount of bad attitudes towards the referee staff. These guys try there best to make genuine and honest calls and ref in a fair but strict manor. Occasionally mistakes are made in the midst of crazy moves or genuine missed errors. These guys do an amazing job but they are only human. They thus do deserve a little more respect than is often given to them.
This year we will be cracking down on bad and ****ty attitudes towards refs (and players). We will not tolerate any arguing back, directed abuse from within or outside the field of play. There shouldnt be any communication from the pitside to the field of play anyway with the new rules so this includes exterior reffing advice from players!
There is no problem with questioning calls if done in the right way at the end of the match or addressing any issues with the head ref only.
If you feel the issue needs to be taken further by all means talk to Mark or myself but no decision will be overturned off field im afraid. All we can do is try to stop any issue happening again. We are always happy to address any and all complaints if people are prepared to talk to us in a rational manor.
