Hi all,

Been paintballin a few times and the time has come to get my own gear, along with a friend. So looking for some recommendations.

Probably only play Woodsball for a while, so please bear that in mind, altough i can see us putting a team together and playing some SupAir.

We both really like the Proto PMR Rail 09, which we can pick up for about £315ea. However, ive seen really good reviews for the SLG UL 09, and wondering whether am i gonna feel the difference between the two, other than in my wallet.

Looking at Dye i4 masks too.

If you do recommend a marker, please let me know decent loaders too.

Look forward to the repsonse from you guys in the know!

For £300 i would search the for sale section on this forum and pick up a lot higher spec marker second hand mate.

There is a dye DM8 going for £270 at the moment.

Thats your choice mate, but there are plenty of trusted, honest sellers on this forum that have good feedback threads showing they are Not here to rip you off.

I have bought 6 markers off here in the last 10 months and every one has been in perfect working order and in the exact condition they were described in the sellers advert.

If you feel buying new is still for you then go for it, you do get that extra peace of mind.

But before you do buy a new pmr or slg take a look through the For sale threads just to make sure you dont regret it after when you see something better for less money. ;)

Don't underestimate the advantages of buying new for first time players. Full shop support and Warranty backup can be invaluable.

Leftpeg, both guns shoot great but opperate differently. If you can afford the PMR i'd definately go with that as it'll shoot a bit 'smoother'. The SLG UL is also a great gun and has been improved alot this year with the bolt silencer and UL frame taking it to new levels.
Either would be a solid choice dude :)

Thanks,

Tommy

Not sure if they've got any left anymore, but it's worth looking, Just are doing a 100 quid off the SLG UL 09 (grabbed one myself for a back up), the discount code is on their twitter feed

Just my 2p's worth...

Proto Matrix 08, these can be had for 220-250 quid, and they are an awsome marker for the money.

Ive just upgraded from a 08PMR to a PM8 and the difference is unbelieveable. Would definatly reccomend to anyone!

just ordered ourselves an SLG UL for the crazy price of just over 100 quid. cant grumble at that price.

thanks for the heads up durajim.

the way i look at it is this is our first marker, so if we need to upgrade in a few months time....we have only spent hundred quid on it and it can be kept as a spare/training marker.

thanks all
