Changing a LP bottle to a HP bottle

Afternoon All

I need to change my low pressure bottle to a high pressure bottle for my marker to run correctly. I have been advised this. My DXS 1.1 bottle is a LP would i be correct in saying all i need to do is change the reg to a HP reg and this would then make the bottle into a HP bottle

Would this Reg do the job

Yes, you just need to change the regulator.

However, as Jim 1 says, due to the serious safety consequences of buying a faulty or sub-standard regulator I would advise against cheap imports and buy your new regulator from one of the reputable UK paintball suppliers. That way you are covered by UK law and standards and have some come back if you have any problems with your reg.

Yeah i get ya just trying to find them on Lips but cant lol. Any ideas who sells them (If for some reason you cant mention the place pm me )

Agree with the above, lack of info, sounds like a dodgy chinese sales, never can be trusted.

With DXS bottle regs, you can change them from HP to LP or vice-versa, there are kits available, give the boys down @ LIPs a call.

is it the long DXS reg or the short reg ?

if its the long reg, then you will need to replace the internal spring, thats it...!!!
Gold spring = LP
Silver spring = HP

If the reg you have is the short version, then its even easier.
Remove shims = LP
Add shims = HP

very simple, but saftey first, empty bottle, and if you dont know what your doing, please get someone that actually knows what they are doing, not someone who says they think they can

Im pretty sure that its the long reg. Not to sure if you can tell my this pic. But i also think its a Gold spring. Ive stripped the reg before to clean it and all it would be is just to change that one spring ??? That easy lol

From my previous post, its not hard for yourself to work out if its a long or short, shims or spring
