dm12 body grip

Howdy peeps, has anyone changed the small body grip on a dm12, if so is it easy to get off?? Mine is worn and have ordered a new 1 but it looks stuck/glued on. Also where can I get the small gruber screw that seems to be holding it in place? Mine has been rounded so once off a new 1 will need to put on, I've mailed dye with no reply..

The grips should be quick release. You pull them apart at the back and then sort of push them forward.

I don't mean the frame grips, I mean the small body grip on the front of dm12 with the dye jewels on eitherside!

No not even the one on the reg lol, the one on the body just under where the barrel screws in

theres a small screw at the front in the middle, unscrew that then the top of the wings in the body have grooves that dig in slightly just wiggle them out, you'll know what i mean when its out

Thanks did243, thought it may have been glued also, prob I have now is the screw has been rounded so need to try get it off, provided I can get a new 1that is, do you kno if these come in the spares kit?

not in the supplied kit, did you have ball end allen keys or normal?
alternatively find out what screw it is and buy a new one online - i can't find it in the manual :/

4-40X1/8 Alloy BTN Head Eye Plate Screw (20)
- 8-32X5/16 BTN Head Rear Frame Screw (30)
- 8-32X5/16 Set Screw On/Off Retaining Screw LPR Retaining Screw (15)
- M2X10MM Micro Switch Mounting Screw (15)
- M2X6MM Board Mounting Screws (15)

these are the screws that come in the complete repair kit - unsure if any will match bar maybe the first one

I've contacted dye but no reply, it never came with Allen keys and was already rounded grrr
