HALO Battereis ARGH!!!!!

Si which one have you got? My latest Halo B doesn't seem to drain after I have turned it off. I don't know if maybe they upgraded the software on later versions or something?

You really should get rechargeables. They dont cost much more and youll make your money back in mere weeks.

Mine also drains the batteries dry if they are left connected. Was also rather irritated but once it was plain what was going on I just started to disconnect them end of every day. Couple of minutes.
Picked mine up at IAO in August.

Well, maybe several bags of chips and couple of saveloys...

The HALO takes 6x1.5v AA batteries, right? So that's 9V? Surely a PP3 9V battery would be smaller and lighter than 6x AA cells?

Why did Odyssey choose to go with AA sized batteries?

you can use a 9v in a halo but it gives a lower amp output therefore makes the hopper slower

I have 2 halo b ,none of them drain batteries,i have the latest software in my clear halo.You can tell by when empty the paddle or cone does not pulse turn like previous models.Ask odyssey they might be able to help.

i didnt realise there were different versions of haloB...so are the newer ones faster or is the only difference that they dont spin when empty ?
