There are different generations and as I understand it, it goes like this...

3rd gen has the velcro straps and "shark fin" on the feeding arm

For reference
1st gen doesn't have the extra "shark fin" on the feeding arm or velcro straps over battery
2nd gen has the velcro straps over the batteries, but no "shark fin" on the feeding arm

There is a sharks fin and there are Velcro straps on the batteries, does that make it 3rd Gen then?

I have had it a few years but it has barely been used, I got it at about the same time as the Proto and used the Proto instead.
