Generally about 500 shots with most barrel/gun configurations. I'd personally go with a 68 cui steel tank if you haven't already bought a 47, but either does fine for entry level play.

68 can give you 700-800, depending on your paint and barrel. In my opinion, a 68 is generally more useful and provides that extra bit for when you might forget to fill up between games or run into one where you just somehow find yourself putting out that much more fire. They happen, believe me. I have had many, many days where I shoot 20 one game then 900 the next.
Well, proportionally that would give around 1000...heck, you pull out the calculator! I use an 88, could be called a 90 if you really wanted to. I'm not pulling out a measuring tape then figuring out the thickness of the tank's walls then dealing with pi and so on. I leave all the math to Robbo because he's good at it.
