None I hope !!!
Most people who post on these boards tend to read the posts that precede their own, you obviously don't, well if you do, you obviously don't understand them which is difficult to believe since all the ones I have seen are written in pretty straight forward English.
The only thing I can conclude is, you are an ignorant pr#ck, hence the way I started this post.
It's no good going 'jeeeez, just putting forward my point of view' if you are going to ignore all that is said before you and your point of view has more holes in it than a colander.
And just because you 'hold' a point of view doesn't automatically guarantee that that view should be respected or even listened to.
After all, the flat earth society was alive and well and around for hundreds of years but like you, they just held an opinion...understand ?....or do you want me to draw little pictures for you ?

Argh! Mate, I'm not from the UK, and even I know this! Ever heard of the UKPSF? Steve Bull? All you want is there, you are just looking at the wrong places. When you want a second hand Ford Escort, you're not going to a Rolls Royce dealer, now are you?
of course i know of the UKPSF and i'm a member, but again how does the new recballer find the UKPSF?:)

rancid

Mother, is that you?
red hot - the questions you asked about research, yep you're right that's what we do. The key thing to launching a mag (or at least the way we do it - and we have 22 of them) is to look for ad revenue. This is your blood flow, without it you're doomed. Unfortunately, and you've explained why this is in your post, there are no uk companies - Planet and wdp et al are international companies just like us.

The thing is, we are not arrogant, no matter how we've responded to these posts (but I am a tw*t). We can take the crit, yep we get fed up of saying the same thing, but it's the nature of the attacks we get that riles you up. I could talk to you all day cos you aint in my face calling me crap, and we'll listen and explain or spin off a few ideas. But when people get on your case, then it's time to prepare the purple worm!

One last point (at the risk of being labelled 'obsessive' - alright Beaker?), there's still this confusion abroad that we should turn rec ballers into tourny, and I think every site operator in the country wants to do the opposite.

Just my opinion, but it is informed.

Sorry if I came across a little patronising, but hailing from a commercial background this is so blatantly obvious to me. The new guy will most likely find the UKPSF in the same way he'll find PGI. On the net for example.
If someone expresses an interest in playing more (which is likely to happen on the field) the field staff should supply this person with the contact details for the UKPSF. If they don't, they are missing out a great opportunity, because the more people become dedicated ballers, the better it is for the industry as a whole, and the site crew in particular, because it is likely this person will be local, and will therefore return to this site more often, which means more money. Basically, any site that does not have a promotional scheme, is denying itself some potential income.

anyway that my rant for this week. the mag is better quality than it used to be it just seems like a US import rather than a UK based mag thats all.
:)
You know I have been avoiding this post like the plague! But the one thing is maybe the event schedule has dropped off due to weather and what not! Don't tell me I wasted my money on a subscription please!

I stand corrected by the almighty Robbus maximus, i did read the posts before me but obviously didnt take heed. I owe Rancid an apology for calling him a twat (Sorry, no need). People complain about messages that are aimed at having a go at someone or something, and that they hide behind a user name etc etc, im sorry if i upset you robbo.............nuff said.

Peace? :(

PGI is sh1t

yaaaa de yaaaa de yaaaa.......etc.

PGI freakin' rules kids. I tis way better than the purely yank mags I've seen and is written in a way that you can relate to. Ok, the UK coverage can be a bit thin at times but lets be honest we aint as good as our American friends (in general). Reading PGI and watching the American vids has helped our team mix European and American playing styles to improve our game and bring a little something new to the UK tourneys we've played. We've got loads of teams out there that are good, consistant and win games but they don't try to spice their game up, EVER. It aint about winging and moaning about being beaten or losing coverage coz' of this and that, it's about progressing and adapting to the way the game in general is played. Then, and only then can we be up there with the rippin' ass teams. Our tourneys will be more exciting , the atmosphere will improve and the whole extreme sport element that is missing will kick in.

Keep up the good work PGI.

Robbo: I've put on a few pounds (maybe only 2 but it's a start) so I'm comin' for ya. ;)

Get in line...

You'll have to get in line, Al my friend. After seeing me put our hero in a headlock and force him to tap out at this year's IAO, James Graley (Adrenalin prez) decided he would be next in line to publicly embarrass the good Mr. Robinson. James has been spending just about every waking moment since that time going over all of his old Aikido holds and breaks, and even learning some new pressure points and such. Vegas has the odds even since James isn't known for being a powerhouse fighter, but just between you and me I'm putting my money on Mr. Adrenalin for sure!
;)
Tell all the K2's I said hey, and ya'll take care...

First off, I would just like to say that Rancid is a twat. Man, I had to wait forever to get that in.

Secondly, in the relative short time I've been a member of this forum, this is the fourth time I've came across this subject. I thought it was pretty ludicrous the first time I saw it, so obviously, it progressively irritates you more and more every friggin' time you see it...I can only imagine how it affects the people who have to defend it constantly. It's caused Pete to break his new years resolution ALREADY, Rancid's got tears wellin' up, Teej goes outside of the Tao, and mild-mannered Justin even threw in a rant. This is obviously an old, worn subject for these fella's, so if they snap, I'm sure that's got something to do with it.

There are TONS of U.S. tourneys being missed by PGI, and I don't think that Americans are more humble than our Brit brothers, I think the fact that America is a gazillion times larger than England has something to do with our expectancy of tourney coverage. I've never heard an American complain about this. Also, you guys were just fortunate enough to have microscopic coverage for a period of time, and then it got pulled. That really sucks, but you must think about how you sound to many of us. I wouldn't complain to an Ethiopian about how small the steak was I had the other night.

Thirdly, if PGI becomes the size of a phone book, for the same cash, that's cool with me. Take care everyone.
