PMR (07) will only allow section of two firing modes.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could offer an explanation as to why my PMR, I believe 07, will only allow selection of two firing modes.

I can get into configuration OK, and adjust ROF, dwell etc, but when it comes to selecting firing mode, this happens:

After holding the trigger (confirming current setting, and the light going off) and giving one click, and the lights cycle and semi auto is set.
Doing the same with two clicks, mode two is set.

Now, trying three of four clicks gives the usual cycle of lights, but doesn't change the mode. Going back into the config. only ever gives two flashes. It's impossible to set mode 3 or (hidden)4.

I called Dye and they said if it had a yellow board, it might be an early board with only two modes. The board is a dark green.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Is the board more black than dark green?

And I take it that its not fitted with a UL frame.

Red board had 4modes
Black had only 2.

It is definitely more black than red.

What is/was the reasoning behind that? The manual definitely mentions the 3 modes.

I think it was something to do with rules in Germany?

If its a absolute must that you have the extra modes I will have a hunt and see if I still have a board, if I do it's all yours.m
