Ram cap rounded help please !!!

If the alan key has nothing to grip to, as in the hex groove has rounded no amount of cold/heat will help.
Anything that eases the removal of the cap is worthwhile. He is looking at damaging the cap anyway so cutting a slot or hammering a larger Allen key may not work something why not try it. It won't do any harm and may help.

I can say that I still can't solve this problem an I can't get the ram cap off :( and I now have a leak and I'm sure it's coming from the ram

Did you try what i suggested? Can't not work really :/
I have n still won't come off, :( getting really annoyed with it cuz I clean all my stuff properly and that. I'm going to get a geo or an ego me thinks anyway and just keep trying with the creed.it has also developed a leak in the ram and I can't get to it lol

have you tried to ask a local engineering firm they might do it gratis or cheap? might be worth an ask instead of buying a new £200+ marker.

You used one of these and it didn't work?!



I've used these to remove snapped off wheel bolts and such. I find it hard to believe they wont pull out a soft ali part?
Ye it won't get it off because its soft aluminium and it just molds out of shape and crumbles

Arh i see. Sounds like it's been drenched in thread lock?
Can you lock the cap in a vice and turn the marker to unscrew it? Maybe grind or file a flat on the sides to help stop it slipping?

i have currently given in to it lol and it is at vanguard specialist lol so they can sort it out and I can get it serviced as well but thanks for the help guys
