how do i tell if a 12v revi has an x -board fitted?

open it up?
is it etched on the circuit?

Look inside the battery compartment, there's usually a sticker saying X-Board

Other than that it's opening it up time and looking at the board design.

look along side the battery compartment should say in raised writing X BOARD INSIDE
