shortcut to inline reg with remote

i was taking the bottom line off when i thought, if I take the bottom of the inline reg off (it's a trilogy comp), why could i not just plug the end of a remote in and save on the awquardness? or is that small thing very useful? (im not too sure what it does :S but the only other problem i thought i might have is that the bottom line i have has what looks like a filter for the co2...

and help? am i being stupid? i can give pics if needed...

If you mean, can you run a remote hose to your inline reg, then yes, you could. Most people who run remote run it through a bottomline though, as the hose would be quite awkward and cumbersome going directly to the front of your marker. It'd restrict your movement.
