The majesty of Rome. The empire of a thousand years crumbled a long long time ago........or did it?
An enormous solar flare has torn a hole in the fabric of space time, meaning that history, present and future have all collided creating a series of space/time anomalies.
One such anomaly has seen one of earth's Staargate's move back through time, to a period when the Roman Empire dominated the known world. The Staargate was discovered by the 10th Legion during it's conquest of Gaul and taken back to Rome where the finest Roman scholars have managed to work out it's secrets.
The Roman Leader, the beautiful but ruthless Octavia, intends to use the Staargate to jump forward through time to the present day, march her Roman hordes through the portal and create a new Roman Empire........in the present day!
Standing in the way of the Roman Legions are the combined forces of Staargate Command (SGC) and the Russians under the leadership of the beguiling Chairwoman Electra. The SGC and Russians are under no illusions, unless they stop the Roman Legions at the Staargate, then modern day earth will fall and one thousand years of tyrannical Roman rule beckons for all humanity.
The scene is set, the battle lines are drawn.

Staargate is probably the longest running Big Game / Scenario Event in UK paintball and holds a special place in the heart of many players. For the past seven years the game has taken place at Steve Bull's Powerplay site near Wakefield. The site is a sprawling woodland dotted with natural features and man-made game infrastructure.
The Ronseal Game
Each leg of the Super6 has had it's own distinct personality. Super6/1 (District 10) was the event that set the series up, Super6/2 (Chocolate Factory) was very female friendly and fun based with a very wacky scenario. Super6/3 (Diamond Wars) brought it's own unique slant to the series and Super6/4 (Tippmann Challenge) is pushing the boundaries of technology and is set up to be very family friendly, Euro friendly and new player friendly event.
Super6/5 (Staargate) will be known as the Ronseal game, it'll do exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing more, nothing less. Nothing overly fancy or complicated - just a lot of players, on a big site, with lots of paintball to play Saturday, lots of traders, a great Saturday night party followed by a massive gun fight all day Sunday. That's it.
Sure, all the usual Super6 bells and whistles will be present such as decent toilets, capped food prices, Super6 Girls, Super6 TV, Tippmann TPX Challenge, Tiberius Sniper shooting, Guinness World Record Attempts, top class marshalling team, 42 inch plamsa screens with live updating game maps etc etc etc But at it's heart - Staargate will be a throw back to simpler times and will essentially be boiled down to two days of great paintball interspersed with a great party.
So here's what you can expect:
- 2 hour special scenario game on Saturday - MODS v Rockers. The UK Scenario Forum Moderators will take on all comers in a two hour balls out gun fight in the woods. Should get messy!!!!
- A total of six hours of play all day Saturday followed by another 6 hours all day Sunday - that's 12 hours of play!!!!!

"I'm really looking forward to Staargate this year. For most people, Staargate is all about camping, the party, the traders and then a massive gun fight on a big site all day Sunday. We've tried not to monkey with that tried and tested formula. We'll leave it to other Super6 event to push the envelopes and boundaries, Staargate is more of a throwback to simplier times. A great big event on a great big site and two days of dust ups punctuated by a good old party. Simple but effective.
We've redesigned the game this year from top to bottom with new respawn areas in the field, new respawn corridors and a respawn flip midway through the game to ensure the field is totally even and fair to both sides.
We've also redesigned the trader area because there'll be a lot more traders present this year as part of the Super6 series.
I'm particularly looking forward to the Mods v Rockers game and I may even pick my own gun up and get stuck in.
All in all, Staargate looks set to be a great event this year and I look forward to seeing many of you there in September."
