Evening all,

Just packed my gear bag for tomorrow. Letting a couple of friends use some guns so pulled out my spare tanks.

All within date.

However, my pure Energy has a very small rattle, I noticed this when putting it in the bag, it seems to be regulator end. Any ideas?

It will be the nipple
Hold it and shake in the direction of the nipple - it will rattle a lot
Shake it sideways and it won't rattle (or in reality it will a little unless you can make the direction of all forces precise!)

Note that the fill nipple valve is nothing but a small pin and o ring.
It's held closed when the pressure inside is greater than the atmosphere and pushes on the pin
It opens to allow fills when the outside pressure (from a fill station) is greater, and then pushes shut again when the full station is purged

When 'empty' it isn't really empty but equalised with atmospheric pressure. The nipple is neither pushed open or closed, there is insufficient difference to keep it one way or the other, and it will rattle

If it were 'empty' it would be a vacuum - and the outside atmosphere pressure would push the fill nipple valve open
