Xbox 360 hardware info needed

Right guys I have a 360 which has a drive fault, I have another drive but need to extract some code from the old one to flash the new one??? anyone know how to do it?

I've looked at a few forums on the subject but can't understand what there on about.

right i just recently sold my xbox and in order to do that i had to reformat my xbox and it asked for a code

if you could get the name of the code it would help your cause

because i know how to get the serial code

It's called a drive key if that helps and I have a Benq drive, from what I've read if the drive key doesn't match the motherboard key it wont play games.
